  • He has stated that he used to face bullying and racial abuse by classmates at school. He reckoned that the bullying was partly because he was one of the younger kids in his class as he had skipped a grade.
  • While he was attending the Phillips Exeter Academy, Andrew made it to the U.S. national debate team and eventually competed at the world debate championships in London.
  • After his graduation from law school, Andrew worked as a corporate attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City. He left the job within 5 months and co-founded Stargiving, a website for celebrity-affiliated philanthropic fundraising. The startup, after initial success, folded in 2002.
  • He then participated in several ventures including a party-organizing business and a healthcare startup. In 2005, he joined a small test/exam preparation company called Manhattan Prep and became its CEO in 2006, serving in the position until 2012.
  • He was selected by the US Administration as a ‘Champion of Change’ to honor his work with the Venture For America organization in 2012. In 2015, he was selected as a ‘Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship’.
