If Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and wife of future king, Prince William, hadn’t just been photographed topless while on holiday, this wouldn’t be news! Photos of Kate getting off an airplane in Australia show a dress that, much like Marilyn Monroe’s in Seven Year Itch, doesn’t want to hang primly around her knees! The Duchess was photographed using both hands to keep her skirt around her waist, despite the blustery day.
This isn’t the first time Kate Middleton has shown off more than she’d like to. During her royal tour of Canada last summer with William, we were treated to a peep show in a yellow dress. Another windy day favored the photographers present, who captured one half of the royal arse. I would hope that, after those photos were printed, Kate invested in a pair of spandex shorts to wear underneath. It isn’t attractive, but it’s got to be better than getting told off by Queen Elizabeth for having enough body parts caught on film to constitute a Playboy center fold!
Kate and Wills have just left south east Asia, where they served as royal representatives for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour. In an ironic twist, Kate and Wills were greeted by topless women who gave them welcome jewelry and flowers. Kate was photographed laughing as a very short woman stretched to put a necklace on her. During their tour, the couple put on bold faces while the world gawked at Kate’s almost-naked pictures. Although they were seen looking furious the day they heard about it, the couple managed some diplomacy and had fun touring jungles and discussing woman’s rights. I expect that they’ll do quite well once Will ascends the throne. First rule of royalty: Don’t take it personally, and don’t let it get in the way of international good-will tours!
