Congratulations are in order for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who have welcomed their third child via surrogate.
In a post titled ‘She’s here!’ on her official website, Kim revealed that their baby girl arrived at 12:47am on January 15, weighing in at 7lbs 6oz.
She continued to say that “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.”
Kim and Kanye already have two children, North and Saint, and she added that they “are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”
The decision to use a surrogate came after Kim suffered extreme complications with both North and Saint. During her pregnancy with North, Kim was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and whilst giving birth, she was struck with placenta accreta. Kim received surgery in order to be able to carry more children, however, after giving birth to her second child Saint, she suffered from further complications.
We’re absolutely delighted for Kimye and wish them, North, Saint, and their new baby girl all the happiness.
