We're quickly approaching the March 18 premiere of Daredevil Season 2 and with it will come a whole slew of new characters; allies and villains alike. Among said allies and villains? Marvel Comics character Blake Tower, who joins the roster of new characters along with The Punisher, Elektra Natchios, and more. But where does Blake fit within the delicate (not to mention ever-changing) ecosystem of Hell's Kitchen?

Well, if the comics are any indication, Blake will be more hero than villain when The Butler's Stephen Rider brings him to life in Season 2. Historically, Blake is a key ally of Matt Murdock. He works as a District Attorney, so he interacts with the tiny Nelson & Murdock law firm we know and love in a professional setting. He has also passed vital information to both Matt and his alter ego, Daredevil, ensuring that his key knowledge will be used in the best interests of Hell's Kitchen.

So far, outside of the fact that he is still a District Attorney, it's tough to say exactly how this TV version of Blake will fit into the new jam-packed season of Daredevil. However, it's definitely possible that as a DA, he'll be a pretty integral part of the legal dealings with the definitively illegal vigilante The Punisher.

It's also worth pointing out that, like Claire Temple and Luke Cage, Blake may end up being a crossover character appearing in more than one of Marvel's Netflix series. Claire has been in both Daredevil and Jessica Jones, and will appear in Luke Cage, as reported by Deadline. Similarly, Luke was in Jessica Jones, and will headline his own September-premiering series. It's starting to look like Blake could potentially appear in Luke Cage as well, because according to Nerdist, at one point in the comics, Blake helped out a character named Misty Knight, who is rumored to make an appearance in Luke Cage. In the comics, Blake has also been known to work with Captain America and She-Hulk, so there's even more opportunity for MCU crossovers.

So far, we've only gotten to see Daredevil and Jessica Jones, but it's already been fascinating getting to know The Defenders via their namesake series — and if we're lucky, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will be just as thrilling as their predecessors. Crossover characters only seek to strengthen the ties between the four series (and maybe even the larger MCU), which helps make Hell's Kitchen an even more tangled web of awesomeness. Let's hope Daredevil newcomer Blake Tower gets to be a part of that.
